Creative Spaces 2023-24

The Central Coast boasts a vibrant community of talented makers and creators

And, it's for this reason Creative Spaces was born. Designed to foster innovation and creativity, the gallery container at Toukley Village Green will provide an exciting space for selected artists to exhibit and connect with the community through creative workshops, talks, collaborations with other artists and installations throughout the year.

Expression of Interest for 2024-2025 is now open!

We are excited to announce that applications for 2024-2025 Creative Spaces at the Gallery Container in Toukley are now open.

Open: 1 May 2024
Close: 29 May 2024, 10am
Program duration launch: 1 July 2024

The 40ft shipping container will host the next lot of successful applicants to host exhibitions, workshops and interactive community engagements. Based in Toukley Village Green, the container is ideally located in the heart of the town centre next to busy cafes and shops.

Introducing Grace Agnes

Local painter, photographer and artist Grace Agnes will take up residency in the Gallery Container from 1 April to 28 June 2024 and during this time will host an extensive itinerary of exciting collaborations, art exhibitions, photography sessions, creative workshops and classes, artist talks and mini markets.

Visit Grace in the studio space and gallery to view her original artworks, pet portraits and digital designs.

Reserve you spot to one, or more, of the many vibrant events that Grace has created to bring the community together.

What's On

Life Painting Class

Date: 17 May 2024

Time: 6.00pm-8:30pm

The human body is an artwork in itself. Come to a relaxed style art class and experience the beauty of the human figure first hand. Paint, draw, or sketch your creative heart out and allow the inspiration to flow in an Intimate setting of only 6 people per class. All levels of experience welcome.

Aura Exhibition

Date: 24, 25 and 26 May 2024

Time: 9am-2pm

From the beach to the scrub, each artwork in 'Aura' is a testament to the profound connection between art, artist and nature. It's a celebration of nature inspired artistry. Local artists Amanda Kelly and Kristy Fox both grew up on the Central Coast and translate the aura of their natural scenery through their own emotional lens in two uniquely different and striking ways.

Kim's Creations

Date: 15-18 June 2024

Time: 9am-2pm

Kim Cairncross from Kim's Creations will be showcasing her stunning artworks, sculptures, and handcrafted pieces. Kim's unique ability to create beautiful artworks from found materials and turn them into keepsake creations will inspire you to create more.
